# Assign Expiration Dates to a Product

In this guide, you will learn how to add an expiration date to product in the Acadia POS backend portal.

1. Navigate to [manage.acadiapos.com](https://manage.acadiapos.com/) for Retail or [rfsm.acadiapos.com](https://rfsm.acadiapos.com) for Restaurant

2. Click **"Items"**

3. Choose a product you want to edit the expiration date for and click the blue pen next to that product to **VIEW/EDIT**

4. Click on the **"Expiration Date"** field to pull up the **calendar**

5. In this example I set it to be for the end of the month.

6. Next click **Save.**
