# Create Product Expiry Date Attribute

In this guide, you will learn how to fill out the custom attribute form, specifically for creating an expiration date field for each item.

1. Click **"Attribute Name"**

2. Select the **"String"** option.

3. Select the **"Date"** option.

4. Under **"UI COLUMN SIZE IN POS"** Enter **2**

5. Under **"SHOW ON QUICK UPDATE FORM"** select **ENABLED**

6. If you want it to **show on product list** in its own column, for easy visibility, Select the **"Enabled"** option.

7. Click "Save Changes"
