# Enable Cash Accounts

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for enabling Support Cash accounts. Once cash accounts are enabled, you can monitor balances by location, review history, and make transfers without affecting the sales drawer. Track safe balances, tills, and petty cash with dedicated ledgers.

1. Navigate to [manage.acadiapos.com](https://manage.acadiapos.com/) for **Retail** or [rfsm.acadiapos.com](https://rfsm.acadiapos.com) for **Restaurant** and click **Settings** in the sidebar menu.

4. Set Support Cash Accounts to **"Enabled"**

- After enabling, a **Cash Accounts** entry appears in the navigation.
- Use the list to create accounts per location or purpose, set starting balances, and record notes.
- Drag and drop balances between accounts or open an account to review transaction history.

5. (Optional)

- Fill Add this fixed value to daily report Expected Cash if you keep a permanent float in each drawer. For example, enter 100 to add $100 to the expected cash calculation.
- The optional fixed amount feeds the daily report's expected cash total, helping you reconcile drawers that always start with the same float.
- Cash payouts and pay-ins continue to flow through the POS as before; cash accounts handle the back office perspective.

6. Click **"Save Changes"**

Tips:

- Create separate accounts for vault cash versus drawer floats so you can monitor safe drops.
- Encourage managers to log notes when moving money between accounts for audit clarity.
