# Enable Cash Pay-ins

Record cash added to the drawer (tips, vendor deposits, lottery, etc.) and keep reports accurate. This guide walks you through step by step approach to enable Cash pay-ins in AcadiaPOS app and backend.

1. Navigate to [manage.acadiapos.com](https://manage.acadiapos.com/) for **Retail** or [rfsm.acadiapos.com](https://rfsm.acadiapos.com) for **Restaurant** and click **Settings** in the sidebar menu.

2. Click **"Payment methods"**

3. Click the edit icon for the Cash payment method.

4. Select the **"Enabled"** option under Cash Pay-Ins dropdown

5. Click **"Save Changes"**

6. Navigate to AcadiaPOS app and click on sidebar at left hand side of the page. Then click tab **"Backend"**

7. Select Cash.

8. Toggle ON the Pay-ins enabled

- Choose a type, enter the amount, and optionally add a note.

Click **"Save"**

Tips:

- Use consistent pay-in types to keep reports clean.
- Pay-ins appear in shift and daily reports so cash totals stay balanced.
