# Modifier Groups – Create Prefixes for Modifiers (i.e. NO, EXTRA, LITE, LEFT)

In order to add a prefix like "Extra" or "No" to a modifier, you'll need to create a modifier group or edit an existing group in order to create prefixes and then apply prefixes to modifiers in the cart. Prefixes are then entered in the OPTIONS field. Note: You must be on the latest version.
 Popular Prefixes:

- EXTRA
- LITE
- NO
- SIDE
- ONLY
- LEFT (i.e. pizza toppings)
- RIGHT (i.e. pizza toppings)

1. Navigate to [manage.acadiapos.com](https://manage.acadiapos.com) for **Retail** or [rfsm.acadiapos.com](https://rfsm.acadiapos.com) for **Restaurant**

2. Click "Items"

3. Click "Modifier Groups"

4. Select **+ New Item** or press the **Edit icon** associated with the modifier group you would like to add prefixes to. Here, we will edit "PIZZA TOPPINGS"

5. Under "Options" enter the desired prefix value in the field below. If using more than one, separate by commas. Here we are choosing "LEFT" in regards to which side of the pizza the toppings will go on.

6. Click "Save Changes"
