Automatically generates a unique barcode for newly added products.
1. Navigate to manage.acadiapos.com for Retail or for restaurant, go to rfsm.acadiapos.com
Next “Settings” on the sidebar
2. Click “General settings”
3. Click the “Filter settings” field and type “auto” or “auto barcode” to quickly filter and change setting.
4. Type “auto”
5. Choose the type of barcode you want to auto generate.
- UPC-A (12 Digits): The standard retail barcode for the United States and Canada. It identifies the manufacturer and the specific product.
- EAN-13 (13 Digits): The international standard for retail. It is identical in function to the UPC-A but includes a leading country code prefix, allowing it to be used worldwide.
- UPC-E (8 Digits): A compressed version of the UPC-A. It uses “zero suppression” to shrink the code so it can fit on very small items like gum, cosmetics, or individual pens. [Image comparing UPC-A and UPC-E size]
6. Click “Save”
