This guide provides a step-by-step approach to effectively split bills using the AcadiaPOS app, It simplifies the process of managing multiple tabs and seats, ensuring a smooth checkout experience. You will learn how to open new seats, merge seats to simulate what can happen in a restaurant environment. You will also learn how to split the bill at checkout.
1. Lets say a customer comes in to eat with other guests, and they do not specify that they are looking to split the bill later, this scribe will help split the bill, after the fact.

2. Click on a room to show the tables in that room, or choose tabs and click “+ADD NEW”

3. Create a new tab for this example

4. Click “Print”

5. All items have been ordered and printed to the kitchen.

6. Hit the back button

7. Now it is time to pay and the customer asks if the bill can be split between the four parties.
Go to a room. In this case, the rooms name is SENECA, but that is just a room created for the explicit purpose of bill splitting. Because it contains a table with a large amount of seats that the order items can then be managed, by moving the items between tabs for checking out individual orders or to consolidate how you like.

8. We would click on the room made for bill splitting

9. To print the new individual bills to all at once you can click “Bill Print All”

10. You can also combined the tables back together if you need to

11. Now you will open up one of the “Seats” in the “room”

12. Click the back arrow

13. Click “Load Tab Seat”

14. Select the name of the order from the top drop down box (in this case it is “test do not make” bc it is was a test order)

15. Click on the second dropdown

16. Select a seat

17. Click proceed

18. Now you will open up other “seats” for the other people splitting the bill

19. So you have to open other tables for the other customers

20. Then press the back button

21. Now you can slide over items to other seats

22. Continue to open new seats until every customer at the table has one

23. Click the back arrow

24. Slide the item over as many tiles as you need, just make sure the tab is open

28. Slide over the item to the newly opened seat

29. You can also combined the tables back together if you need to

30. Click “Yes, do it” if you want to merge all the seats to seat 1.
Click No, to go back.

31. Now, lets say that there are actually 2 people at “seat 1” and they want to split the cost of the pizza they bought. This will show you how to split the bill for one or more items at the checkout between 2 parties.

32. Click “Pay”

33. Click “Custom”

34. Choose a fraction, or enter a custom amount in the custom amount field.
