Create a color attribute to organize your products by color
1. Navigate to manage.acadiapos.com for Retail or rfsm.acadiapos.com for Restaurant

2. Click “Items” on the sidebar

3. Click “Custom Attributes” in the upper right corner

4. Click “New product Attribute” in the upper right corner

5. Under ATTRIBUTE CODE, enter “color”. All letters should be lowercase.

6. Under ATTRIBUTE NAME, enter “Color”

7. Under CUSTOM ATTRIBUTE TYPE, select String from the dropdown

8. FRONTEND INPUT TYPE, choose Select

9. Under UI COLUMN SIZE IN POS, enter 4

10. Click “+Add new” to add the first color

11. Under VALUE, enter the first color. For example, you can enter “pink” but the value must be in lowercase.

12. Under LABEL, enter the color as you want it displayed to your employees and/or customers. i.e Pink.

Tip: Repeat the last 3 steps to create additional colors
13. Repeat for additional colors, as shown below
Click “+Add new”

14. Do the same for another color, Add red in lowercase to value, and Red with the first letter being capitalized.

15. Click “+Add new”

16. Do the same for another color, Add blue in lowercase to value, and Blue with the first letter being capitalized.

17. Enable “Show on quick update form” for the attribute to show on the quick update form.
Enable “Show on product list”, for it to show as a column and to filter easily in the items section.

18. Click “Save Changes”

19. Click “Items” on the sidebar

20. Click “New Item” in the upper right corner
Or click the blue pen next to each item on the right.

21. Click the newly added “COLOR” attribute dropdown.

22. Select a color

23. Click “Save”
