How to create a tax free custom group, which you in turn can assign customers to from the backend/frontend.
1. Navigate to manage.acadiapos.com for Retail or rfsm.acadiapos.com for Restaurant

2. Click “Customer Groups”

3. Click “New Customer Group”

4. Enter “Tax Exempt” into the “Customer Group Name” field

5. Select the “Enabled” option for “Custom Tax Enabled”

6. Click “Save Changes”

7. Click “Items” on the sidebar

8. Click “Taxes” in the upper right corner

9. Find the tax class associated with all of your products

10. Click the blue pen to edit the tax class

11. Click “Open customer group rates”

12. Click “Save Changes”

13. Click “Customers” on the sidebar

14. Click “+ New Customer” in the upper right corner

15. Im creating a customer as an example on how to associate a customer with a tax free group, which in turn makes all customers under that group tax exempt.
“Jim Mansfield Tax Exempt” will be the example, Enter whatever name you would like

16. Select the “Tax Exempt Group” option.

17. Click “Save Changes” on the bottom right

18. Example of what it will look like on the point of sale.
First click “Assign”

19. Select the customer (In this example “Jim Mansfield Tax Exempt”) we added to the tax exempt group in the previous slides.

20. Just to familiarize yourself with the system and to know how to change customers to different groups, click EDIT. You will see in the next slide, this customer is assigned to the tax exempt group.
If at anytime you want to change the group they are associated with, you can edit from the point of sale or from the backend,
(manage.acadiapos.com for retail or for restaurant rfsm.acadiapos.com)

21. As you can see, what was done on the backend (manage.acadiapos.com for retail or for restaurant rfsm.acadiapos.com) will reflect on the point of sale.

22. Select products, and notice that there’s no tax applied.

23. Checkout, notice no tax applied.
