If you want to assign weights to your products, you’ll need to create a weight attribute in the backend.
1. Navigate to manage.acadiapos.com for Retail andrfsm.acadiapos.com for Restaurant
2. Click “Items” on the sidebar
3. Click “Custom Attributes”
4. Click “New product Attribute”
5. 1. Under ATTRIBUTE CODE, enter “weight”. All letters should be lowercase.
2. Under ATTRIBUTE NAME, enter “Weight”
6. Under CUSTOM ATTRIBUTE TYPE select Floating Point Number from the dropdown menu
7. Under UI COLUMN SIZE IN POS, enter “2”
8. Click the “Show on Quick Update Form” dropdown and select “Enabled”
9. To show on the product list in the items section on the backend, Select the “Enabled” option on the “Show on the product list” dropdown menu
10. Click “Save Changes”

11. Click “Items” on the sidebar
12. Click “+ New Item”
13. Look for the newly added “Weight” attribute, and add the value you want for the item you are creating or editing.
14. Click “Save”
