Discount products or categories by a set percentage, and then round to the nearest $0.25. For example, if you want a product or category to be discounted by 20% and then rounded to the nearest $0.25, you will enter 20 into the AMOUNT and select Product Price / By Percentage round to nearest 25 cents under Price Rule Type.
Example of How it Works:
If an item costs $10.00 and you give a 20% discount:
- The raw discounted price is $8.00.
- Since $8.00 is already a multiple of $0.25, the price stays $8.00.
- If the math resulted in $8.13, the system would automatically round it to $8.25.
Note that if you do not specify any conditions in the rule (products, categories, etc..), the rule will apply to ALL items
Note: In order to apply customer groups to a price rule, you must first Add a Customerand Add a Customer Group
1. Navigate tomanage.acadiapos.com for Retail or rfsm.acadiapos.com for Restaurant.
2. Click “Items” on the sidebar
3. Click “Price/Discount Rules” in the upper right corner
4. Choose “Adjust By Percentage, Rounded to Nearest 25 Cents”
5. Step1. Choose the AMOUNT, this will dictate the value for the price rule. In this case its a 25% price discount rule with Nearest rounding to the .25 cents.
Step 2. Choose the time you want this rule to be active (Choose From STEPS 3-6)
Step 3. DAYS OF WEEK RULES– Select the days of the week you want this rule active on.
Step 4. HOURS WHEN RULE IS ACTIVE– If the price rule is only active during specific hours, select those hours under HOURS WHEN RULE IS ACTIVE
Step 5. START/END MINUTES– Fill in fields
Step 6. START/END DATES– Choose Start/End Dates if you choose to run a price rule for specific dates only.
6. Click “Save Changes”
