18. ## **Checking for Discrepancies in Received Inventory**
Click the blue pen to view/edit the transfer.
If the physical count of items received is less than the quantity documented as sent, you must update the ‘Received’ field to reflect the actual amount.
This action will prompt a required dropdown menu asking for the reason for the missing quantity. Selecting the correct reason is critical for maintaining accurate inventory records:
-
Wasted: Use this when the item is lost, damaged, or otherwise unsellable (rendered unusable in transit).
-
Source Location: Use this if the item was never actually shipped and is presumed to still be at the original sending location.
-
Another Location: Use this if the item was misrouted or sent elsewhere. If you select this option, an additional dropdown menu will immediately appear, requiring you to select the specific location where the product was sent.

19. Click “Close”

20. If you have an inaccurate transfer this will appear next to received, reference previous screenshot. (Example if the “SENT” number is higher than “RECEIVED”, you have to make the correction using this drop down, to keep the most accurate inventory records)
