This guide provides a straightforward process for setting up discount start and end dates in an eCommerce platform, ensuring that promotions are effectively managed. By following the steps outlined, users can easily create custom attributes for discounts.
Note: Create a “Discount Attribute” first before adding a start and end date.
1. Navigate to manage.acadiapos.com for Retail or rfsm.acadiapos.com for Restaurant
2. Click “Items” on the sidebar
3. Click “Custom Attributes”
4. Click “New product Attribute”
5. Under Attribute Code, enter “date_start”
6. Under Custom Attribute Type, select “String” from the drop-down menu.
7. Under Attribute Name, enter the Discount Start Date. Ex: 02/2/2025
8. Under Frontend Input Type, select “Date” from the drop-down menu.
9. Under UI Column Size in POS, enter “3.”
10. You can leave the drop-down menu under Show On Quick Update Form, blank.
Click “Save Changes.”
11. To create a Discount End Date, follow the same steps, except:
Step 5, for Attribute Code, enter “date_end”
Step 7, for Attribute Name, enter the Discount End Date.
