Conditional AMOUNT discount, when buying X. A classic example is Buy one , Get one. Or Buy 3 and get 1 for free.
Navigate to manage.acadiapos.com for Retail or rfsm.acadiapos.com for Restaurant
Step 1. Click “Items” on the sidebar
Step 2. Click “Price/Discount Rules”
Step 3. Select the “Cart Item / Buy X, get AMOUNT for free” option.
Step 4. Choose a product or category to apply this price rule to.
In this example I’m using categories, anything inside the category will have the price rule applied to it. If its a product, it will only be applied to those specific products.
Step 5. Enter the number they must buy under BUY X
Step 6. The number they get for free under AMOUNT
Step 8. Under “Is Stackable (Can be combined with other rules)”
If Enabled, the rule will combine with other price rules.
With Customer Groups, if you leave these fields blank, it will apply the price rule to all groups.
Step 9. Enter customer group(s) in the field under CUSTOMER GROUP IDS rule to apply to specific customer groups. Separate groups with commas. If you want this price rule to apply to specific customer groups.
Group ID’s are found by going to sidebar, clicking CUSTOMER, then CUSTOMER GROUP, find the customer group and look for its ID, its the first column.
Step 10. You can also EXCLUDE CUSTOMER GROUP IDS using the same method as adding customer ID’s. This is useful if you want to apply to almost every category except to select groups.
Step 11. Choose a VENDOR if you want a rule to apply to a vendor.
If using multiple group ID’s you have to separate groups with commas.
Date & Time based rules, so you can run your business with precision.
Leave blank if you want the rule to apply without any date or time restrictions.
Step 12. Days of the week the rule is active
Step 13. Hours when rule is active
Step 14. Start/End Min (0-99)
Step 15. Start/End (Create a date range for a rule to last a couple days to any time period that you wish for the rule to end.)
Step 16. If there is a maximum amount of products required in the cart for the price rule to be valid, enter that value under MAX CART QTY
Leave blank if you dont want any CAP/MAX amount for the rule.
You can now see the rule is now listed.
Example below is of MobilePOS BUY 1 Get 1 & Buy 3 get 1
Choose the product with the price rule we set for all the beer related categories. (Buy 1 Get 1 EXAMPLE)
Click Beer/Malt/Cider or whatever you set the category/product etc to apply to.
Click on the product
Click one more time, and now the price rule is activated for BUY 1 GET 1
EXAMPLE OF BUY 3(X) to get AMOUNT 1
Notice, you are at 3 items for the Buy 3 get 1.
Click one more time and the rule will apply. See next slide.
The price rule is now applied. It has now given the amount for the 4th item.
