This guide provides a direct process for applying discounts to products in an eCommerce setting using Acadia POS. Below are step-by-step instructions to create a custom attribute for discount percentages, so users can easily manage pricing strategies, enhance product offerings and improve sales efficiency.
1. Navigate to manage.acadiapos.com for Retail or rfsm.acadiapos.com for Restaurant
2. Click “Items”
3. Click “Custom Attributes”
4. Click “New Product Attribute”
5. Under Attribute Code, enter “percentage_discount”
6. Under Attribute Name, enter the Discount Percentage. Ex: 10%
7. Under Custom Attribute Type select “String” from the drop-down menu.
8. Under Frontend Input Type, select “Text” from the drop-down menu.
9. Under UI Column Size in POS, enter “2”.
10. You can leave the dropdown menu under Show On Quick Update Form blank.
Now click “Save Changes.”
