This guide shows how to enable and set a Discount PIN in your AcadiaPOS account quickly and securely. Follow it to restrict discount approval to authorized staff and reduce accidental discounts.
When this featured is enabled, the POS asks for the PIN before applying a preset or custom discount from the cart or payment screen. If the PIN is missing or incorrect, the discount is not applied.
1. Navigate to manage.acadiapos.com for Retail or rfsm.acadiapos.com for Restaurant and click Settings in the sidebar menu.
2. Click General settings
3. Ctrl + F (Windows) or ⌘ + F (Mac) and find Discount PIN and select “Enabled”.
4. Enter the Discount PIN Code. For example, 1123
5. Click “Save”
Tip: Rotate the discount PIN when staff access changes.
